Well today, after almost 16 years owning Fresh N Press the keys were handed over to Howat's Laundry Services LTD.
I would like to thank all of our customers past and present for all of their support, especially through the Covid pandemic and made it viable for me to even open a couple of days a week. If I am being honest, I enjoyed lockdown, where others hated it, so I made a decision to sell Fresh N Press.
I would like to wish the new owners, Patricia Howat and Sarah Howat all the best in their joint, mother/daughter partnership XX

I am appealing to anyone that was in the vicinity of the Bridge Street co op car park on Saturday 11th March at approximately 4.55pm and may have witnessed the damage caused to my car. Someone who maybe witnessed a vehicle (quite possibly a van) attempting to reverse park next to my car, then pulling away after causing the damage and parking elsewhere. There was a blue Fiesta or Focus, parked a couple of spaces up from my car, please contact me if you witnessed anything.

Due to today's government announcement
The laundrette will be open on reduced hours
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
11am - 4pm
Service wash or drying only. Ironing service is also still available. Bags will be sanitized on entering the shop, as they have been since the start of the Covid 19 pandemic.
All laundry must be bagged to your colour preference for washing as we will NOT be sorting through it, separating darks from lights.
Customers will not be allowed past the front desk and a mask must be worn on entering the shop.

From Wednesday 15th July the laundrette will be back to normal opening hours. Customers will be allowed in to do their own laundry but not allowed to sit and wait, and they will be required to wear a mask and observe the social distancing rules still in place.
All laundry must be in a sealed plastic bag on entering the premises for disinfection purposes. A collection and delivery service is also available.

After careful consideration and laundrettes now being classed as an exception or essential service, I will be opening on a shorter scale Wednesday - Saturday 10.30am -2.30pm. I will be offering a service wash and dry with ironing included if needed.
I will not be accepting ironing only. Customers can drop off or arrange a pickup. All laundry must be in a clean plastic bag and colours separated to your preference. All items will be done at high temperatures and at your own risk. Payments can be made by bank transfer as an alternative to cash.
