❤️ URGENT APPEAL – CAN YOU HELP?

We currently have a cat in our care who desperately needs a blood transfusion within the next few days, and we’re looking for a blood type B donor.

We’re hoping to hear from anyone who knows their cat has blood type B, or who owns one of the following breeds, which may be more likely to have this blood type:

🐾 British Shorthair
🐾 Devon Rex
🐾 Cornish Rex
🐾 Birman
🐾 Persian
🐾 Exotic Shorthair

Ideally, potential donors should:

🐾 Weigh at least 3kg
🐾 Have no known health conditions
🐾 Be between 1 and 10 years old

Your cat doesn’t need to have been blood typed previously, as we can arrange testing to establish their blood group and suitability as a donor.

If you think your cat may be able to help, please contact our team at Forth Coast Veterinary Clinic on 01383 347931 between the hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am and 7pm and Saturday 8.30am to midday.

Today, my beautiful girl Bonnie fell asleep snuggled into my chest for the very last time. She was loved until her very last breath, and she always will be. I still can’t quite believe it, and I know I’ll never have another dog quite like her. Alfie is going to be so lost without her, too.
I want to say a massive thank you to Forth Coast Veterinary for giving her such a peaceful send-off. They allowed me to do it my way, letting Bonnie pass away peacefully while sleeping in her own bed in the back of my van the place she loved to be.
Bonnie was a rescue, and if it hadn’t been for the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, we would never have been able to give her a second chance at life. Because of them, we got 11 wonderful years of beautiful memories together. She must have been about 16 years old ,She was such a huge part of our lives that she was even there at our wedding.
The house doesn't feel the same anymore. After spending the last several weeks constantly caring for her as she became poorly, I honestly don’t know what to do with myself now. Just a year after losing my mum, it’s really tough. But I am trying to find comfort in hoping that Mum is up there holding onto her for me.
Have big sleeps Bonnie girl. Thank you for the best 11 years. 🐾❤️

Today marks one year since my mum's final journey began, and Saturday marks one year since she passed away. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. I have asked my scheduled clients for these days off so we can take some needed space to reflect and remember her. Thank you all so much for your understanding and continuous support, came across this old, blurry photo of Melissa and I with mum and it brought back memories ❤️I always get told how lucky iam to have all these photos and it’s true sometimes people don’t want to to have their photo taken but it’s times like this your glad you did 🫶🏻

The Gilmour family has grown by two little feet! 👣 I am one proud auntie again

👶❤️Huge congratulations to my brother David (Gilly) and his partner Evie on the arrival of beautiful baby Ronnie, born on August 31st, 2026. ✨

Gracie and Louie are already the proudest big sister and brother, and both sides of our families are absolutely overjoyed with love.

It is such a bittersweet moment for us all. It brings a little sadness knowing Mum isn’t here to share this with us, but Ronnie brings a beautiful light to keep us all going. Arriving just 12 days before September 12th—marking one year since we lost our wonderful Mum—gives us so much comfort. We know without a doubt that she is looking down from heaven with absolute pride and wrapping her arms around her newest grandson. 🕊️❤️
