We are recruiting experienced commercial cleaners for evening deep-cleaning work at a health club on Brands Hatch Road, Longfield.

🕘 Evenings only – 3-hour shifts
📅 2–3 nights per week (rotating rota)
💷 £15.27–£16.27 per hour
🚗 Car or motorbike required

This role involves deep cleaning of showers, changing rooms, poolside and spa areas.
The environment can be hot and humid, and the work is physically active.

You will be working in pairs, as part of a small rotating team.

Temporary, full time cleaners/housekeepers required to work various eight hour shifts in a hospital environment. ME7 5NY

Shift Times

Five days over seven - usually four weekday shifts and one weekend shift. Shifts are either 7am to 3pm or 2pm to 10pm. This is a temporary position to support existing employed staff due to Covid-19 and staff training. It is likely to last three to six months but could be longer. Please state in your application which time if you are applying for and what days you are available.

Rates of Pay

Cleaners weekday daytime hours, worked between 6am and 10pm are £11.00 an hour. £12.00 an hour for Saturday shifts and £13 an hour on Sundays.

Pay is monthly by bank transfer.

Employers Requirements

The chosen applicant will have been able to show that they are reliable, industrious, honest, able to accept and carry out instructions but also capable of using their initiative. Experience in a similar role and references from previous employers will be required.
Tasks will all be related to cleaning and so will suit someone prepared to take on a physically demanding role. The site is large and there is a fair amount of walking. The wearing of PPE, to work in a hospital environment, can be hot and tiring. Employees would need to be prepared to see patients and their families in acute levels of distress considering the current pandemic. Also they would need to have the ability to follow health and safety guidance for infection control to prevent contracting infection while working. Covid vaccination in accordance with government guidance is a requirement for those working in NHS sites. The employer can assist those not yet vaccinated to do so.

In general, cleaning, even working in a medical environment, can still be seen as a safe role, as long as guidance is followed, as the job involves regularly sanitising surfaces, wearing disposable gloves and masks and regularly washing hands.
Living locally and being able to walk to work is ideal.
For those who live further away and drive in, currently parking is free to those working on site by issue of a monthly pass. NHS site workers also can make use of free travel on Arriva buses within a 2 mile radius of the postcode given in the description.
References from previous employers will be requested and a DBS check made.

New employees will be health screened and given appropriate immunisations for working in a medical environment. They must be able to provide vaccination records from their GP and will need to consent to a standard DBS check. A visible BCG immunisation scar will be useful for establishing that an applicant has had this.

Part time afternoon cleaner required, mainly term time, but possibility of school holiday work also, to work at a school, Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 5.30pm. The successful candidates will join a team of supervised cleaners. Living locally is essential as each shift is just 2 hours long. While there is pro rata holiday of 21 days a year please note that there will be some unpaid weeks leave during the school holidays.

Part time late evening/night cleaner required to join an existing team cleaning at a gym. Free Gym membership

Working three shifts a week for two or three or three and a half hours, depending on which night. There are usually two week night shifts and one weekend evening. Week night shifts start at 9pm for two hours and there is also a Sunday night shift from 6pm for three hours and a Saturday evening shift, starting at 6pm for three and a half hours. Actual shifts will be discussed and agreed as part of the application process.
The team also cover each others holidays and absence.

Previous cleaning experience is important.

As each shift is short, employer will look to those living nearby with their own transport as the most suitable candidates.

This will include cleaning showers, toilets, changing rooms, poolside, sauna and steam rooms. Other areas include the communal staircase, work out areas, reception and studios.

Who is needed?

Cleaner 1, total 6hours per week = Tuesday 10pm-12am, Wednesday 10pm-12am, Sunday 6pm-9pm

Cleaner 2, total 7.5hours per week = Thursday 10pm-12am,Friday 9pm-11pm Saturday 6pm-9:30pm

Sickness and Annual Leave is covered between staff.

Candidates need to appreciate this work is mostly at night and is demanding and physical. As part of a well-organised team, we aim to support each other on every shift. As the opportunity for being a keyholder may be available being able to show a work history of being in trustworthy positions is essential.
