☀️ Cleaning Through the Heatwave ☀️

We're loving the sunshine, but there's no denying that working through a heatwave can be challenging for our cleaning team. Carrying equipment, moving around busy homes, and tackling those deep cleans becomes much harder when temperatures soar.

To help keep our team safe, comfortable, and able to provide the high standard of service you expect, there are a few simple things our lovely clients can do:

💨 Open windows and air out rooms before we arrive where possible
💧 Allow access to drinking water so our team can stay hydrated throughout their visit
🌬️ If you have fans available, allowing us to use them while we work is always appreciated
🐾 Keep pets comfortable too, as they can feel the heat just as much as we do
☀️ Let us know if any rooms become particularly hot during the day so we can plan our work accordingly

Our team will be taking extra care during this warm weather, including regular hydration breaks and monitoring their wellbeing while working.

Today we tried a new home ed group for the very first time, run by the lovely Janie, and what an amazing day we had! 🐷🐐🐣

We met the sweetest pig called Horace who will actually sit for a treat 🥹
Then there was Shaggy the goat, who thinks nothing of climbing onto Janey’s back and hopping up on the tables 😂

We even got to hold a tiny chick that had only hatched this morning 🐥 and had lots of cuddles with some very happy guinea pigs.

Daisy learned how to check eggs to see if they had a growing chick inside before collecting some for eating, and we came home with fresh duck eggs too 🥚

We played in the woods and then me and Daisy ended up splashing in the stream and staying an hour and a half longer than planned because we were having such a lovely time 💛

Such an amazing day with such a lovely home ed group.

🧽 Don’t you just love New Sponge Day?!

There’s something oddly satisfying about ditching the old, soggy dish sponge and cracking open a fresh one. 😍

But be honest… how bad does yours have to get before you swap it out?
A little worn? Slightly smelly? Falling apart? Or are we talking “it’s basically part of the kitchen now”? 👀

Here’s the grim bit… kitchen sponges can hold millions—even billions—of bacteria because they stay warm, damp, and trap food particles… basically a five-star hotel for germs. Some studies have even found they can harbour bacteria like E. coli and other nasties if left too long.

So… spill it👇
