A brand new Yaris GR with full Xpel PPF and coatings. Paul reached out to me all the way from Ireland about getting his new car straight to me from the dealership, I only later found out that he had planned not taking a car from Ireland and choosing a dealer as near to me as possible, although we had never met nor had he seen my work in person, he felt from my posts and insight into PPF he would be more than happy, solidified by a few phone conversions.
The day came to collect Paul's car from the dealership and get it straight to my unit. The Alpina B3 was the car of choice and Paul and his Dad got comfortable and we set off to Tunbridge Wells with the occasional pop and bang from the Akrapovic exhaust.
The handover was quick and rushed but Paul didn't mind, It wasn't a specular event like a Handover but Paul will save that for his M car! Once handed over we used some temporary Xpel PPF trackwrap on the high impact areas and lower sills so a drive back to the unit was stone chip free.
Once back at the Unit, coffee was had and the competed M2 CS that was in the unit was mooched over and Paul was blown away on the quality of the PPF install compared to his last job on a previous GR.
He left the car with me set off back to Ireland. Full Xpel PPF was applied after it was prepped properly. The wheels were also subject to a colour change by Lepsons, which are now across the road from me. Bilt hamber Dynax UC was used to underseal the underbody and suspension, I prefer this on a brand new car as it drys clear and not sticky, my Civic type R Fl5 had it done from new and still remains rust free after 24k miles.
I did a few extras like making PPF patterns for the key (actual plotted patterns). Anyone with a GR yaris will know how bad they get scratched! I was grateful that Paul travelled so far to get his car properly protected. Like we discussed, youtube and social media can make PPF look very easy, pictures can make it look good too, but close up it often tells another story due to the many new companies rushing jobs and lack of experience. I know what it takes to be a good PPF installer and I was very happy with this Job. Its absolutely flawless.
