The role involves building new bodies on commercial vehicles and repairing damage to the bodies of commercial vehicles.
There will also be general workshop duties to carry out this can include, keeping work areas clear of tools and rubbish, washing vehicles, sorting parts, keeping stores area, and staff rec areas clean and organised. You may also be required to work at customers sites from time to time with another member of staff, as well as any other duties that management may require.
No formal qualifications necessary, however having experience of using power tools would be desirable, either through previous work or as a hobby.
We are a small business so being one of the team is just as important as being happy to work on your own.
If you love working with your hands and are good at getting things to work as well as having the desire to learn as you are working, then this could be the job for you.
Hours of work 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We are based in Grazeley, Reading, so own transport essential as there is limited public transport.
Starting salary will be in line with living wage or above depending on age and previous experience/qualifications.
