This weeks been a struggle one more hard day and one to do Friday morning then off for a coffee with friends and get ready for the weekend !! Can’t thanks my clients enough for all the fans, cold drinks and leaving windows and doors and bi folds where possible in this heat constantly moving all day up and day lugging hoovers around and not being sat in front of a fan it’s really really hard work and I can’t wait for the lido this weekend 🙌☀️🔥

Due to a recent experience with a client refusing to pay the remaining balance for an end of tenancy clean completed on Thursday 25th June – the hottest June day on record – I’ve made the decision that, from now on, all final balances for end of tenancy cleans and one-off cleans will be taken by card at the end of the job before we leave.

The client was invited to inspect the property on completion, confirmed they were happy with the standard of the clean, and even sent me messages saying they loved it. Two days later, they decided not to pay the remaining balance. Unfortunately, because of situations like this, I now have no choice but to change how I take payments.

The unpaid invoice is now being pursued through the Small Claims Court, so I will be taking the proper legal route to recover what is owed.

To make matters worse, while carrying out the clean, one of the client’s blinds fell and struck me on the head, leaving me with a large bruise and headaches for several days.

Thankfully, the vast majority of my clients are honest, appreciative people, and I’m grateful for every one of you. Sometimes one bad experience is all it takes to tighten up business procedures.

Anyway, off to church in a few hours. Wishing everyone a happy Sunday, and at least it’s a bit cooler today! 🙏

Completed this one yesterday in a scorching 40°C on what was officially the hottest June day ever recorded! 🥵☀️

Safe to say it was bloody hard work and there were moments we thought we might melt! 😅 But with the best team by my side, we smashed it out, kept each other going, and got another end of tenancy completed to our usual high standard. 💪✨

Massive thank you to my amazing team – I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you all. Teamwork really does make the dream work! ❤️

Another End of Tenancy Clean completed on Monday from top to bottom! 🏡✨

We tackled everything including:
🧽 Cobweb removal
🪟 Windows & window sills
🚪 Doors, handles & woodwork
📏 Skirting boards
🗄️ Inside cupboards
🔥 Radiators
🍽️ White goods & appliances
🍳 Oven clean
🧹 Hoovering throughout
✨ Dusting from top to bottom

And we got it all done in the heat! ☀️🥵 It was definitely a tough one, but with a fantastic team behind me we worked hard, stayed focused and got the property completed thoroughly before the hottest part of the day. 💪

This week has certainly been a challenge. We’ve managed to fit in a few cleans during the mornings, but by the afternoons the temperatures have been unbearable. 🌡️☀️

A huge thank you to the lovely clients who have been so understanding and have chosen to keep their regular payments in place, asking me to carry out a deeper clean on the next visit instead. Your kindness and support have helped me immensely while juggling work, school early closures and cleaning in temperatures well over 30°C with no air conditioning! ❤️

Meanwhile, my neck fan has officially become my new best friend! 😂❄️

To all my fellow cleaners working through this heatwave, I really feel for you. Stay safe, stay hydrated and keep going! 💕🧴💦

What a day! 🧽✨

This one was a huge property – 4 stories and it just seemed to go on and on! 😅 Lots of stairs, plenty of running up and down, and definitely a workout thrown in for free! 🏃‍♀️💨

Thankfully I had an amazing team with me and together we cracked on and got everything completed to a high standard. 💪✨

This clean was for a lovely landlady whose new tenants move in on Monday, so it was important to have everything looking fresh, spotless and ready for them to enjoy. 🏡🧼

We got started nice and early before the temperature got too high, although the further up the house you went, the hotter it became! ☀️🥵

Absolutely shattered now, but it’s all worth it when you see the finished results. 😴

Now I’m off to enjoy a family BBQ for my uncle’s birthday. 🎂🍔🌭 Happy Saturday everyone – enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! ☀️🥂
