Today we are cleaning the DPF on a BMW one series. We tested all the components related to the DPF and did a back pressure test finding that it was in excess of 3 PSI. Also the sensor readings were to high, so replacing it. We also found that due to servicing issues the air filter was past its sell by date. Added a new one and all’s good.

After the clean the ECU was reset and all’s good.

Today we are cleaning the DPF on a Mercedes Sprinter. We always check all the components related to the DPF to find out what’s causing the issue and in this case it appears to be through servicing. The air filter is past its use by date. This is despite the vehicle being served a couple of months ago. When you get your car serviced we would recommend asking for the replaced filters to ensure that they have been done.

Here we are cleaning a DPF on a VW Passat. The cause of the issue is a dirty fuel filter because of poor servicing. Costly exercise for the sake of a £20 filter.

Today we are cleaning the DPF on this E220 Mercedes. Firstly we check the diagnostics and then we test all the components related to the DPF. In this case it was a faulty sensor. The DPF was 4% blocked, so it needs a clean.

Today we are cleaning the DPF on a VW Caddy. This has been doing short runs which doesn’t allow the DPF to heat up and regenerate. Prior to doing the clean we tested the pressure sensor which is ok, then did a back pressure test on the DPF. This showed that the DPF was in excess of 3% blocked. After the clean we reset the sensor and DPF, cleared the codes and regenerated it. Job done!!

Would you let your mate operate on you because?

This was Carly’s (a local Dog Walker) Transit Connect. Failing to regenerate the DPF and a distinct lack of power. To ascertain the issue when do a computer test as well as manual back pressure tests and component tests. After hooking up the diagnostic computer it became evident that a failed intercooler hose was causing the lack of power and not allowing the Connect to regenerate it’s DPF. So after replacing the intercooler pipe for a genuine Ford part, we Terracleaned the DPF to get the process started and then forced the Car to regenerate itself by using out diagnostic computer. The van is now back to it’s best and allowing Carly to ferry her furry friends around as normal.

Here we are with a Ford Galaxy Taxi which our computer says the DPF is blocked. To be sure we do a manual back pressure check which states it has 20 PSi back pressure. Then we need to check sensors and the 5th injector which all appears ok. Now we are cleaning the DPF and next is the regeneration process and all's good.

Here we are cleaning the DPF on Ben's Vauxhall Insignia. Checked sensors and back pressure manually and then cleaned and it's a driven regeneration on this one.
