Lancashire Environmental Services (LES) is a growing local business providing Pest Control, Tree Surgery and Clinical Waste Services across Lancashire and the NorthWest.

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic trainee to join our team and develop a long-term career in either Pest Control, Tree Surgery, or both.

This role would suit someone who has recently finished college or university, is looking for a career change, or simply enjoys practical work, being outdoors and helping people solve problems. No previous experience is required - full training will be provided.

Whether you're finishing education, looking for a career change, returning to work after time away, or currently claiming Universal Credit and seeking a long-term career opportunity, we'd love to hear from you. We recruit based on attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

We're proud to have welcomed Maya Ellis MP, Member of Parliament for Ribble Valley, to Lancashire Environmental Services to discuss the important role professional pest management plays in protecting public health, improving housing standards and supporting local communities.

Alongside representatives from the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), we had the opportunity to discuss how professional pest management helps safeguard homes, schools, hospitals and businesses across Lancashire and the wider North West.

The visit also highlighted the importance of prevention rather than cure – a principle that sits at the heart of our approach. Through our Educate, Evaluate, Eradicate philosophy, we work with homeowners, landlords, housing providers and businesses to identify risks early and prevent pest issues from developing.

As our business has evolved since the 1980s, we've also expanded into tree surgery, vegetation management and habitat management services, helping customers address environmental conditions that can contribute to pest activity.

We would like to thank Maya Ellis MP and the BPCA team for taking the time to visit and engage in such valuable discussions about the future of public health, housing reform and professional pest management.
