This is why a chimney being swept is not something that can be skipped. This is in the south west aswell.
The damage chimney fires can do and a severe chimney fire could burn your house down and next doors.you would then be responsible to replace your neighbours burnt down house. Due to not sweeping it annually

Devon and Somerset had the highest number of chimney fires in England over the past year.

If we end up in any sort of lock down in the future.
Please understand that having your fire swept is very important. If you don't do it annually you will invalidate any warrantys on your flue liner etc.
Also if you don't sweep it annually you also invalidate your house insurance should a chimney fire happen.

It is classed as fire safety.so even if we are in lockdown you still need to get your chimneys swept.
