A post I never imagined I would have to write….

After 12 years of running my cleaning business, I’ve recently been advised by health professionals that due to overuse injuries resulting in musculoskeletal disorders, I need to step away from cleaning work.

To say I’m heartbroken is an understatement. This business has been my livelihood, something I’ve poured my heart into, and something I’ve been incredibly proud to build from the ground up. But more than that, it’s the relationships that mean the most to me. Over the years I’ve built such lovely rapports with so many of you, and that’s what makes this so difficult.

I have made the decision to continue working until the end of this month, as I truly feel I owe you that time to make alternative arrangements. I can make a recommendation and direct you to Twice the shine, Georgia on 07901583614.

Running around houses all day, (most we have just two hours to clean and are rather large), in this heat is hard. This kind of heat slows us down. We are not charging the extra 10-30 minutes because it’s not your fault it’s hot and slowing us down, so equally it’s not our fault it’s hot and we are running slower, overheating and overexerting ourselves. We are not just running around houses in heat, but in between we are getting back into a car that’s like a greenhouse on our journey to the next. We are sweating from places females really shouldn’t be sweating from 🤮🤣
So please, if we cannot get to you, be kind.

So, I saw this 100 skips a day for the month of may challenge and thought it’d be a great way to help me on my journey to a healthier me - fundraising is a fab motivation to exercise right?! Then half of my family said they’d do it with me, so we’re doing this together but as a single fundraiser ❤️

Fireplace cleaning. Take apart, give a good sweep off, hoover out, wash down and re polish.
Omg I never knew the gold detail was hidden beneath the soot and dust!!

Pre move in clean this week. Unfortunately I didn’t take a before photo because I saw it and got stuck in!
But let me tell you, this oven was in such a bad way that the owner was fully intending on replacing it. I offered my professional opinion that it could be saved and was instructed to go ahead and give it a try. Hundreds saved on replacing an integrated oven, at a cost of an oven clean priced at £40 which I discounted to £30 as we were there cleaning other areas anyway. Needless to say, the owner was over the moon ☺️
I was soooo pleased with the results! I knew it could be saved but even I didn’t expect it to be this good 👍👌

Happy Monday!
Just a gentle reminder that prices will be changing from February 1st.
This is a decision that I’ve been hesitating and holding off making for a while now but I’m now in a position where this just has to happen.
I figured nobody wants an increase in outgoings straight after Christmas so I have held off for as long as possible, it’s not a huge rise but I’m always very conscious that I am a luxury to most!
Please keep an eye out for updated invoices to ensure you are paying the correct amount.
