The Sweetness of Small Gestures💕🌈

Sometimes it really is the smallest things.
My lovely cleaning client, 89 years young, mentioned she fancied a tin of pineapple. I popped to the shop and surprised her with one — and honestly, it made her whole day. The biggest smile, so much gratitude.
Moments like this remind me how powerful small gestures can be. So thankful for the happy faces along the way 🍍✨

I love my job — running my little cleaning business means I often finish up with a coffee and a chat with my clients. Today an 88-year-old former PE teacher even gave me tips for my handstand practice! She told me she can’t wait to see me next week to check on my progress. Moments like these make my day😀🍀

A Little Mother Power 💛

I got a sweet call today from one of my young student clients — she’d spotted a spider hiding in her vent and asked if I could come help. 🕷️

When I arrived, she said, “I love when you clean here. You have that mother power — it makes me feel safe and happy.” 💕

She’s studying away from home, and it reminded me that cleaning isn’t just about making things sparkle — it’s about bringing comfort, care, and a sense of home.

If my work can make someone feel supported and nurtured while they’re far from family, then that’s the real reward. 🌿✨ ✨

💛 Over the weekend I had the sweetest call from my 89-year-young client, Anneleise:
“Would you come out and change my summer quilt? It’s getting colder now.”

Of course, to her service I went. Sometimes it’s the little things that bring the most comfort — and I’m so grateful to be able to help make life a little easier for my lovely clients. 🫶✨

🧼✨ While working yesterday in my cleaning business, I had a lovely chat with one of my long-time clients — she’s 85, full of spirit, and someone I truly admire.
She had a stroke years ago, and lately her arm has been feeling weaker again. She said, “I think I’m going to give up golf.” ⛳
I gently said, “Don’t give up strengthen your arm .”�I suggested she try a few light strengthening exercises — even 5–10 minutes a day with a small weight might help.
💛 I’m not a specialist — just someone who cares.�It was simply a kind gesture, a little encouragement to keep her doing something she loves.
Her smile said it all. Sometimes, the smallest bit of hope can spark strength.
✨ Don’t give up on what brings you joy.�Move gently. Believe in yourself. And take it one day at a time.💕🌈

Running a Cleaning Business... or am I just secretly everyone’s fairy godmother😂💫

They think they’ve just booked a cleaner.
But really? They’ve summoned me—a mop-wielding, weed-pulling, spirit-lifting, emergency spider removal machine.

Yes, I clean your house... but wait, there’s more🍀

🍀I drop my cleaning gear like it’s hot... and sort out the garden weeds while I’m at it.
🍀I’m the listening ear when you’re feeling low and need a good chat (therapy included—no extra charge😂)
🍀I respond to “THERE’S A SPIDER!” like it’s a 999 call.
🍀One lovely client couldn’t make it to the hairdresser after feeling poorly, so guess who rolled her hair like a pro? Yep—multi-talented.
🍀Oh, and when the school called because your kid’s poorly and your husband’s taken the car? I’m suddenly a Cleaner, Chauffeur & One-woman rescue team.
Truth is, I stay true to who I am—and that’s someone who genuinely loves helping others. Whether I’m scrubbing sinks or saving the day, I’m all in.💫

Friday Feels ❤️

I absolutely love my job, but Fridays hold a special place in my heart—especially when I spend time with my mature clients. Today, on Valentine’s Day, I had the joy of cleaning for a wonderful couple in their late 80s. As we chatted, they reminisced about their younger days, sharing stories filled with love and laughter.

Then, out of nowhere, he started softly singing Lady in Red to her. The way she looked at him, the love still so present after all these years—it absolutely melted my heart.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. Today wasn’t just about cleaning; it was about witnessing a love that has stood the test of time. And honestly, it made my day. ❤️

Today, I visited some of my older cleaning clients to share a warm Christmas hug and a few moments of connection. One moment that truly warmed my heart was with my 89-year-old client, who is slowly losing her sight. She was preparing a trifle for her family and asked if I could mark her measuring jug with a marker pen to help her. She smiled and said she’d be lost without my help.

It reminded me how even the simplest acts of kindness—like helping with a task, listening, or offering a hug—can mean so much to someone. Moments like these show that love, care, and connection are far more valuable than any material gift.

This Christmas, let’s remember that it’s these small acts of giving and presence that truly make the season bright..
