The Clean Genie was founded in September 2019. Founder Luke Smith had seven years’ experience with his previous company providing changeover cleans for high-end Cornish holiday homes and brought this quality ethic to the domestic cleaning market in Plymouth.
In the first 18 months, The Clean Genie has developed a loyal customer base of some 30 domestic clients as well as establishing flourishing relationships with several commercial and charity organisations in the housing arena.
The company now employs a core of four dedicated permanent team members with more joining temporarily in the Summer months to service the Student Accommodation cleaning needs. All our team members are focussed on quality when it comes to cleaning which is why we have the excellent reputation we do.
Each of the permanent team members started with a modest one day per week commitment, but as the company has grown so quickly, they have had the chance to increase their hours to suit their personal circumstances and each has eagerly taken the opportunity.
We’re now interested in recruiting another team member, again, on a one day per week basis, but with the option of increasing as the company continues to grow. We have taken on six new clients in the past two weeks so if you wanted to increase your hours it’s likely you’ll get the chance very soon!
We can offer you a great hourly rate to start with, paid holiday, mileage paid, uniform, PPE, equipment, and products all supplied. All you need is energy, reliability, flexibility, your own transport and a willingness to learn. You’ll be part of a fun, expanding company where your efforts will be recognised and rewarded.

We're recruiting again!! If you're looking for between 5-10 hours per week or know someone who is please drop us a line.
We're looking for someone with a professional outlook, energy and a positive, reliable personality. This is a permanent part-time position. Full training, equipment and PPE will be provided. Applications from people with their own transport would be preferred.

The Clean Genie have several corporate clients for whom we work on a short notice or irregular basis.

We are therefore looking for someone to join our team initially on a casual working basis, helping our clients meet their goals at short notice and also as holiday cover for permanent staff. We will be particularly busy between July and September with student accommodation cleans so availability over the Summer is imperative.

We’re hoping to make this role more permanent depending on the ongoing pandemic situation.

We need someone reliable, positive and energetic. Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given and all equipment supplied. A full driving licence and your own car are required.

This role would suit someone who is looking to supplement existing work or perhaps someone whose hours have been reduced.

Hello All

As you’ll no doubt be aware, the government have increased some levels of restriction in the latest bid to curb the spread of CoVID 19.
The good news is that according to the most recent guidelines we are still able to clean, so despite these challenging circumstances you can still enjoy a sparkly home.
