Project Win | Dorking Halls

We’re pleased to announce another successful project award for Skyline Roofing Solutions, this time at the iconic Dorking Halls.

Originally opened in 1931, Dorking Halls is a well known Art Deco venue located in the heart of Surrey. The building has long served as a cultural hub for the local community, hosting theatre performances, cinema screenings, concerts, and live events. With its distinctive architectural style and heritage significance, maintaining the integrity of the structure is essential.

We will be partnering with Axter Ltd | B Corp™ certified to overlay all existing flat roof areas using their high-performance Excel RBM system. This follows successful core sampling, which confirmed that the existing substrate is sound and free from moisture.

With plant currently being removed from the roofs, it presented the perfect opportunity to upgrade the waterproofing system. A decision was made to proceed with a full overlay, ensuring long-term protection and complete peace of mind before the new plant is reinstated.

This approach not only maximises efficiency but also helps safeguard this historic building for many years to come.

We’re looking forward to working alongside Axter Ltd to deliver another high-quality installation on such a prestigious project.

🎇Happy Anniversary Skyline Roofing Solutions LTD 🎇

This photo was taken at TGI Fridays, where Directors Dan Theobald and Chris McDonald first met to discuss leaving secure positions and building a company of their own.

Within weeks of making that decision, the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Like many businesses formed in early 2020, Skyline began its journey during a period of significant uncertainty across the construction industry. Programmes paused, sites slowed, and the market became unpredictable. It would have been easy to question the timing.

Instead, the focus was simple, deliver quality work, manage projects properly, and build trust through reliability.

Dan brought over a decade of industry progression, from flat roofing on site to managing multi million pound new build schemes. Chris brought extensive installation expertise and a reputation for high standards on complex projects. Together, they combined hands-on knowledge with disciplined project management.

Five years on, Skyline Roofing Solutions has established itself as a dependable contractor, built on resilience, accountability and consistent delivery.
The leap taken on 11th February 2020 came with risk, but it laid the foundations for a business that continues to grow with confidence.

🏛️✨ The Natural History Museum, London is renewing its flat roofs to protect priceless collections and make the building more energy-efficient 🌍💡

From heritage craftsmanship to modern waterproofing, this project blends history with sustainability — ensuring the museum’s treasures stay safe for generations to come.

🔨 Works are carefully phased so the museum stays open throughout.

We have been on site for core samples on roofs and are excited for how this project progresses.

Project Update | London Fire Brigade East Greenwich Fire Station

Works are now underway and in full swing.

✅ Garland UK deliveries have landed
✅ Temporary roof successfully erected

This project will see the Skyline team strip the roof back to the substrate before installing a new tapered insulation scheme, finished with Garland’s Duracoat waterproofing system. Removal of all exisisting skylights and replacement with new.

We’re proud to be delivering this project in partnership with Principle Contractor H&V Building Services.

Project Update | Latymer School – Phases 3 & 4

Skyline Roofing Solutions are proud to have successfully delivered Phases 3 & 4 of the roofing works at the historic Latymer School, undertaking full Principal Contractor duties including scaffolding, welfare facilities and site management.

Pitched Roofing – Full strip of the existing coverings and reinstatement with a complete thermal upgrade and installation of new Marley plain tiles, supplied by CHELMSFORD ROOFING SUPPLIES LIMITED.

Flat Roofing – In partnership with Polyroof, Skyline delivered a number of flat roof areas, incorporating both full strip and thermal upgrade, finished with Protec Evolve low-odour waterproofing.

Live Environment Delivery – Works were carried out with careful planning to ensure minimal disruption to the school’s day to day activities.

A huge thank you to all involved in this project, and especially to our team on site for their outstanding workmanship and commitment in delivering another high-quality scheme.

🚒 Project Secured-East Greenwich Fire Station 🚒

We are pleased to confirm that Skyline Roofing Solutions has been awarded the roofing package at East Greenwich Fire Station.

This project will be delivered in partnership with Garland UK utilising their high-performance Duracoat cold-applied waterproofing system, a robust and reliable solution ideal for sensitive environments like emergency services facilities.

Scope of works includes:

▪️ Full strip of the existing roof system back to the deck

▪️ Installation of a tapered insulation scheme

▪️ Application of Duracoat cold-applied waterproofing

▪️ Removal and replacement of existing skylights

Project Complete – Latymer School

We’re pleased to share the successful completion of our latest project at Latymer School, where we carried out a full strip and installation of new plain clay tiles.

Scope of Works Included:
▫️ Full strip and install new plain clay tiles
▫️ Extensive lead work detailing
▫️ Pitch and flat roofs thermally upgraded.


Installation of Polyroof Protec Evolve (Low Odour System) to the flat roofs, allowing works to continue with minimal disruption during term time

Project Update: Latymer School – Education Sector

Works are progressing well on our roofing package at Latymer School, supporting key improvements within the education sector.

Pitched roofing works are advancing efficiently, with full replacement of coverings and associated details in line with current regulations.

Flat roof areas have been successfully overlaid using the Polyroof Protec Evolve system, delivering a seamless, durable, and BBA-certified waterproofing solution. As part of these works, the flat roof zones have been thermally upgraded to current regulations, enhancing overall energy performance.
