All homes are at risk of condensation, even in spring and summer. If your home has excess condensation, this can lead to problems such as mould growth, which can affect your health and the health of your home.

Small amounts of condensation are not usually a problem, and here are some everyday things we can all do to help prevent it:
- Drying clothes outside reduces moisture in your home. If using a drying rack indoors, opening a window slightly or turning on your extractor fan helps reduce condensation.
- Putting lids on pans when cooking prevents excess moisture in the air.
- Opening windows when cooking, bathing, showering and drying clothes helps moist air escape.
- If you spot condensation on a surface, wipe it down with a dry, clean cloth or towel.
