With the clock going back tomorrow (officially at 2am Sunday morning) it means an extra hour in bed for some, and an earlier evening for all of us 🕑

As the darker nights settle in, the fire starts to feel less like a finishing touch and more like part of the rhythm of home.

If you're thinking about a new stove for winter, now is a good time to visit your local Clock retailer, see the range in person and talk through the best option for your space.

With Autumn in full swing bring darker and colder evening its important to prep our stoves for regular use again. This means ensuring the door rope still creates an efficient seal. 🌧🔥🪢

Over time, the door rope can begin to fray, disintegrate, or compress to such a degree that it no longer forms an effective seal. At this point, it is necessary to change the rope.

To test this, when the stove is cold, close the door on a sheet of paper at different points around the door and see if you can pull it out. It should be stuck or stiff to pull out. If it comes out easily, it means your door seal is not effective, and it's time to change the rope.

To change the door rope simply follow the 3 easy steps or contact your local chimney sweep. If you are unsure what rope you require, please bring a section of your old rope and the stove model name to our showroom, and we'll be happy to assist you.
