Heads up folks!

I have been watching the weather forecast. I have decided to take Team HPC off the road on Wed & Thu afternoons this week, due to the red warning of heat. As outdoor, physical workers, with temperatures anticipated to be around 40 degrees, I hope you understand. Everything will be rescheduled for these afternoons, apologies for the inconvenience.

Team HPC are a bunch of amazing people and I need to look after them. Thank you for your understanding.

FURTHER EDIT: Pony journeyed from Pinvin to Peopleton as the crow flies & was secured earlier this week in a field with running water (before the hot weather), thanks to some lovely peeps in Peopleton. Thank you also to our client's staff who went out of their way to look after this animal's welfare. The c**t has been accepted as abandoned by RSPCA and police. Neither organisations can rehome the c**t. The people of Peopleton are trying to rehome him appropriately.

EDIT: thank you for all comments and messages. Your useful advice & reach outs have been passed onto our client.

Today we have been trying to help a client near Pinvin. They have had a stray / abandoned pony on their unfenced land for several weeks.

The pony is approx 12-12.2hh, dark bay, an entire male, possibly a Dartmoor pony.

The RSPCA and police say that they are unable to help.

What an intense thunderstorm!

Our business owner, Liz, was driving on Main Road in Cropthorne and found a bedraggled, scared, elderly, white wirehaired terrier running in the middle of the road. Liz pulled over, caught the terrier and made sure the dog was safe & dry.

Thank you to local residents who tried to identify the dog. Fortunately the owner's telephone number was on her collar and the dog was safely reunited with her owner!

With the rise in the cost of living, we understand that some people are finding themselves unable to afford their pets. We say this without judgement. There are organisations that can help you.

However, it is never acceptable to relinquish ownership of an animal by fly tipping rubbish in a field gateway, with two cats also dumped! It is never acceptable to dump live animals in a ripped cardboard box by a roadside, in the middle of nowhere.

It was a local team effort. We worked with villagers to capture the cats, Severn Vets gave them a health check and then Danemere Animal Rescue kindly took both cats in.

They were both female cats, possibly sisters. Neither were microchipped. Very friendly, with beautiful markings. One cat was heavily pregnant. Both cats were in poor condition & had fleas.

They are both now safe and we wish them well in the future. Thank you to everyone who helped.
