With the rise in the cost of living, we understand that some people are finding themselves unable to afford their pets. We say this without judgement. There are organisations that can help you.
However, it is never acceptable to relinquish ownership of an animal by fly tipping rubbish in a field gateway, with two cats also dumped! It is never acceptable to dump live animals in a ripped cardboard box by a roadside, in the middle of nowhere.
It was a local team effort. We worked with villagers to capture the cats, Severn Vets gave them a health check and then Danemere Animal Rescue kindly took both cats in.
They were both female cats, possibly sisters. Neither were microchipped. Very friendly, with beautiful markings. One cat was heavily pregnant. Both cats were in poor condition & had fleas.
They are both now safe and we wish them well in the future. Thank you to everyone who helped.
