Ex Openreach van in for a spot correction to remove the remnants and outlines of existing decals.

A soft cutting compound was used, followed by a refinement polish. The objective of this process was to remove the decal outlines and not to correct defects such as swirl marks. That would require a much more extensive paint correction which just wasn’t what the client needed.

However, the correction process also removed a good majority of the swirls and other paint defects, which were addressed as a by-product of the work carried out.

An excellent result achieved, leaving the paintwork looking significantly cleaner and more refined. 👌

No rest for the wicked! Tiguan in for an end of lease full detail. This client urgently needed this done before tomorrow so instead of having a nice Sunday roast with the family I got to cleaning! 😂 if I can help out then I always will! 5 hours later and it’s looking brand new again meaning no pesky fees for the client when returning the vehicle.

🚨 THIS IS WHY SAFE WASHING MATTERS! 🚨

This vehicle was previously ceramic coated by a different detailer (who did an excellent job) over two years ago but has been maintained by myself over the past few months.

With the correct maintenance and safe washing methods, we’ve been able to preserve the coating, protect the paintwork and prolong its lifespan. 👌

But here’s the problem…

One bad wash can undo months of proper maintenance and create much more problems.

Using an unsuitable local car wash, the wrong chemicals, dirty wash equipment or simply someone who doesn’t understand how to safely carry out a contact wash can quickly start degrading the ceramic coating.

And it’s not just the coating you’re putting at risk.

Poor decontamination before washing and drying can leave contamination behind, while incorrect washing techniques can introduce swirl marks, scratches and other defects into the paintwork.

💡 Moral of the story:

If you’ve invested your hard-earned money into protecting your pride and joy, don’t let someone ruin it just to save a few pounds on a wash.

The life span of your ceramic coating is only as good as the maintenance it receives.

Protect the investment. Let Dryden Detailing do it properly. 🚘✨
