PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT… RIGHT??
Mummy Bear let me loose on reorganising some of her kitchen cupboards! She has waited 30 years for this beautiful kitchen, so I was thrilled to finally get started. Mum shared her vision, and from there I emptied everything onto the counter, cleaned the cupboards, grouped similar items together, and worked out the “jigsaw” of putting it all back into its new home.
The main goal was to make sure everything is visible and accessible — helping to avoid duplicates and unnecessary spending on items you think you have but can never find!
Not all kitchen-cupboard jobs will be the same. No two kitchens are the same, and no two families are the same. Each job should be tailored to the needs of the household — but the end result should still bring the same feeling: calm, organised, accessible and visible.
Oh, and that’s only ONE section completed! Did I forget to mention that kitchens take the longest? They’re usually the heart of the home, so of course they deserve all the love, care and time we can give them!
