Dear customers , it has recently come to our attention that there are a number of questionable new startup carpet cleaning companies in the area . Whilst we are not in anyway against new business starting up , and currently work closely alongside a number of other cleaning firms to look after our wider customer base , the quality and methods of these 'companies' does raise alarm bells.
At Torbay Carpet cleaning I am proud to say that the majority of my work is for repeat customers and their referrals which I feel speaks volumes for my standard of work and service. I have a number of fellow colleagues in the area who I hold in the same regard ,and if for whatever reason I (or they) can't service a client then we share the load frequently.
The reports I have heard range from people turning up with hire or diy grade equipment - simply not good enough to do a chargeable job , and others have reported paying a deposit (privately not to a registered business ) and nobody turning up or replying to further messages, this isn't just local sadly as throughout our network many areas across the uk are saying the same. And often they are charging similar prices to the reputable firms.
Please do your homework when booking your next carpet cleaner , times are hard and many people work hard for a living and I can't stand to hear people being ripped off or getting poor quality work - often for only a small saving over a true professional . As they say " the bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweet taste of a good price fades"
Check the company out : do they have reviews , pics or vids of work , Google maps /FB/IG website listings, local phone numbers and address.
Do they have relevant reviews?
Are they trained to NCCA or similar standard ( most of us are proud to explain our credentials)
Do they have insurance? Not just the minimum requirement of public liability ,but more importantly "treatment risk" to cover the items being worked on.
Are they using professional equipment? Some show photos taken from other companies showing expensive imported tools ,but arriving with hire or diy grade equipment.
Are they using chemicals which are pet and child friendly?
I have been fully trained and insured , our truckmounted system represents the highest standard of equipment available in our industry and delivers way above the recommended performance for hot water extraction cleaning
Sadly I am very busy and I can't service every client who enquires , I will always put you into someone trained and professional in my stead ,but if your looking for a company to perform your next carpet or upholstery clean please consider the above advice
Kind regards
Lewis
