One of my oldest friends, Jodie, had her family’s lives changed forever on what should have been a beautiful day out with her daughter, two sons, and little granddaughter. On 23rd April, they received the most heartbreaking news imaginable.
Jess and her mum, Jodie, had poured their hearts into creating a wonderful Sunshine Hub — a safe and supportive space for home-educating families. It was something they dreamed of together and worked so hard to bring to life.
Tragically, just one day after opening the hub, Jodie became seriously ill and passed away two days later.
Jodie was incredibly proud of Jess. They were not only mother and daughter, but the very best of friends, completely inseparable. Since losing her mum, Jess has been trying to carry on the Sunshine Hub alone while grieving such an unimaginable loss.
Anyone who knew Jodie knows she would want this beautiful project to continue growing and helping families who need support, and she would be so proud to see Jess carrying on their shared dream.
Please, if you’re able to, consider donating or simply sharing this post. Every bit of support means so much and will help keep Jodie’s legacy shining through the Sunshine Hub. ❤️
