Another historic Rat infestation sorted. Customer didn’t know how bad and for how long Rats had been coming into their kitchen for as they were gaining entry from an open pipe under the kitchen units, behind the plinths. They heard noises and called us. When we pulled the plinths off it was obvious Rats had been gaining entry for years.
We quickly worked out how they were gaining entry. After lifting the man hole cover it was obvious to us straight away that a large hole in the chamber wall was being used by Rats to exit the drain system, they then followed the pipe work underground back up into the kitchen floor. 2” pipe serving the waste was running through a 4” pipe the builders had used through the concrete sub and down into the suspended floor.
2 x fixes to 2 x building errors and that will permanently stop Rats gaining entry.
Cleaned out the years of droppings and sprayed with biocide to control from dangerous/fatal disease and the propert is Rat free again.
