Hi all, attended a fabulous group for people who are carers of people with dementia yesterday at Middleton Lighthouse in Middleton shopping centre. Its every tuesday from 2 - 3 and if u know someone who cares for someone with dementia pass this on as it is good to meet people who are having the same experiences.

Patience.
To me patience is the most vital part of caring. You may hear a story many times or be told something over and over again.
you may even be accused of selling someones teeth but the most important thing is to remember that its not personal and the individual doesn't always know what they are saying.
Be patient and understanding at all times.
