HGV Tanker Driver / Drainage Engineer
Smart Drainage Ltd is a successful drainage services and civil engineering company working across Devon and the South West on new infrastructure projects, domestic and commercial tank emptying and day to day repairs both industrial and privately for domestic customers. We are looking to recruit HGV Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to work on a full time basis for days (and occasional nights) on our tankering division; to join our team, based at North Tawton, Devon.
Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates emptying septic tanks, cesspools, Sewage Treatment Plants etc. and tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions. There will be a mix of tankering work along with day to day drainage works with our other drainage teams.
Due to the nature of the role, a full HGV Class 1 or Class 2 UK drivers licence are required, along with CPC and have up to date Digi tachograph card.
As an HGV Tanker Driver, you will:
•Operate HGV-mounted vacuum tankers & Jetter's for drainage and waste management tasks.
•Communicate professionally and courteously with customers
•Accurately complete field software management reports with company supplied data enabled device.
•Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults in a timely manner.
•Maintain strict health and safety standards, including proper PPE use and regulatory compliance
Licence/Certification:
• CSCS (preferred)
• Full category B car driving licence
(required)
• HPWJ (preferred)
• Driving licence HGV Class 1 or Class 2
• Confined spaces (preferred)
Working Monday to Friday.
Annual holiday entitlement is 20 days, plus bank holidays.
