“Why didn’t you just take it to Izabela?”
That’s what my amazing client Paula told her son when he bought a new jacket instead of fixing the old one.

And guess what? He listened.
He came in. I fixed the jacket.
Today he picked it up and said:

👉 “Wow. It’s awesome. Wicked! My mum wasn’t lying!”

💪 Because no one else would.

For too long, pigeons turned my shop sign into a filthy mess. I asked the council for help — nothing happened. I felt invisible.

But last Sunday, with the help of a few amazing people — Paweł,my son and his friend Jonathan, and my loyal customer Jonathan his brilliant girlfriend, and family — we scrubbed it clean and installed a solution ourselves.
No excuses. No waiting. Just action.

We’re so proud!
Today, Rubens – the UK’s official Veterans' Mascot – stood with honour outside Buckingham Palace wearing a handmade sash created here at A Stitch in Time.
This project means the world to us.
To see him represent the animals who served and were lost during war… it brought tears to our eyes.

“Meet Ruebens – the one and only Veterans’ Mascot Dog in the UK!
This beautiful soul, dressed with love and pride by A Stitch In Time, was filmed by BBC East Midlands as the only dog in the UK officially representing all animals that served and were lost in war.

Today, he’s heading to Buckingham Palace to continue his journey of remembrance, proudly wearing a custom sash made in our Nottingham workshop.
