When my clients asks me to clean an extra hour to get everything fresh and clean and to not feel “lived in”…how can I say no?!

It was my pleasure to help and to work my magic 🪄 I thoroughly enjoyed bringing the sparkle, calmness and cleanliness back to my lovely clients home ✨ 🥰

It’s been a very busy few days here at Maid in Nottingham 🧼✨

Last Thursday I completed a clean for a client returning home from holiday, making sure everything was fresh and ready for them coming back 🏡.

Friday was my regular weekly bungalow clean, where I also tackled some stubborn limescale on the shower screen 🚿

I then completed a maintenance clean for another client I haven’t visited in a little while, hopefully we’re now back on track for regular fortnightly cleans 😊

Today finished with a 5.5 hour deep clean for my weekly clients who are currently away. Their home will be lovely and fresh ready for their return this week ✨

This included:
🧼 Cleaning radiators inside
🧼 Steaming the bathroom
🧼 Cleaning windows & skirting boards
🧼 Shower screens, dusting, polishing and everything in between!

I’ve been extremely busy helping keep homes fresh, clean and stress-free for my lovely clients ❤️

Thank you as always for keeping me so busy now for a well earned rest 😅 Cup of tea anyone? ☕️

A leaky pipe caused a bit of bathroom chaos at one of my weekly clients homes 🫣… but don’t worry, I came to the rescue 🪄✨

Back to it this week after a little time off, and I honestly loved every minute of it 💛

There’s something really special about walking into a home and bringing it back to life again… the fresh smells, the calm feeling when everything is clean, and knowing I’ve made someone’s day just that little bit easier.

Today was one of those lovely homes I genuinely enjoy doing and of course, the highlight was the happy welcome I get every time from their dog 🐾 (definitely part of the job perks!)

It’s not just cleaning for me… it’s about creating a space where you can relax, breathe, and feel at home again.

🚨 Home Fire Safety Reminder 🚨

After having a home safety check today, I wanted to share a few simple but important tips to help keep your home safe 🏡

As a cleaner, I see a lot of things day to day that could easily become fire risks if we’re not careful:

🔥 Try to avoid overloading plug sockets especially using those multi-plug adapters. They can overheat quickly.
🔥 Don’t leave washing machines or tumble dryers running overnight or when you’re out.
🔥 Keep ovens, hobs, and microwaves clean and free from grease build-up.
🔥Close doors at night to stop a fire from spreading.
🔥 Air fryers should be pulled away from walls and never used under cupboards while on.
🔥 Make sure your smoke alarms are working and tested regularly.
🔥 Keep plugs, leads, and appliances in good condition (no frayed wires).

It’s easy to overlook these things in busy daily life, but small changes can make a big difference ❤️

Something fun for you to do with the kids or just something as a household:
🚒 Draw up an escape plan so everyone knows what to do if the smoke alarm goes off during the night.
🚒Establish your route out of the house.
🚒 Include alternative routes in case the way is blocked.
🚒 make sure everyone knows where to gather once they’re out of the house.

Happy Monday lovelies ☀️💛

It’s a busy one this week at Maid in Nottingham 🧽✨ lots of cleans booked in and plenty of homes to make fresh and sparkly again!

I don’t know about you, but this time of year just makes you want to open all the windows, let the fresh air in and give everything a good reset 🌸🏡 such a lovely feeling!

Little Spring Clean Tip 🌼
For fresh smelling bins, sprinkle a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in the bottom before putting a new bag in 🗑️✨
It helps absorb smells and keeps everything fresher for longer (especially as the weather warms up!)
