The HPS UK Office will be Closed on Monday 19th September 2022.

As a mark of respect, the UK office of HPS - Product Recovery Solutions will be closed on Monday 19th September 2022 for the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The office will be open as usual on Tuesday 20th September.

There are many ways in which liquid product recovery (pigging) systems increase efficiency.

Reducing the amount of water used in your process is one of them.

Saving water not only means, well, that you need less water to start with, but also efficiency and sustainability gains through less pumping, heating, treatment, recycling or disposal.

With pigging there is less residual product in pipelines to flush away, so your flush process can be shorter, more precise and use less run-off water. It’s similar with the chemical rinse, if you have one.

And that’s just one way in which pigging saves water.

Water. It’s always been scarce. Well, clean water has anyway. And tragically, in far too many areas, water is becoming even scarcer.
About 70% of the Earth is covered in water. But the type of water that’s good enough to supply to our homes, to drink, to help grow crops, or wash ourselves with, is much less common.

In fact, only about 3% of water on the Earth is fresh water. And most of that’s unavailable because it’s not accessible, for example because it’s in the form of glaciers, or unavailable for our use for other reasons.

Fortunately, many large-scale organisations are taking water and sustainability extremely seriously. They have teams of some highly talented people looking at innovative ways to reduce, or ideally eliminate, water in many of their processes.

They are doing it for the sake of their futures. It’s not only makes moral and ethical sense, it makes blunt commercial sense too. If they don’t create a sustainable future, they will have no products, no customers, no employees, no business.

Because of the pandemic, the last time any group of HPS - Product Recovery Solutions staff from different countries managed to meet in person was back in 2019.

Now they're back!

Water savings of 40 000 000 litres a year, along with product savings (wine) of 440 000 litres per year.

The water savings equate to about 16 Olympic size swimming pools.

Wine savings of about 586 000 standard size bottles are enough for, well, to keep a load of supermarkets in stock for quite a while, or one heck of a party.

Orlando Wines in Australia achieved these savings by using HPS - Product Recovery Solutions liquid product recovery and transfer equipment.

They got plenty of other benefits as well.

Here’s a pigging system control panel being packed in the HPS UK factory. It’s just about to be shipped to an HPS client in Thailand as part of a large extension project.
