When the nights start getting longer, the days shorter and the air temperature cooler, we at CTB Sweeping focus on chimney and flue sweeping services. The main season is September through to March. However, we sweep chimneys all year and offer discounted rates in the summer months.

Please get in touch for more details. CTB Sweeping was established in 2016 by Craig Brown and has already built a large customer base due to the company’s high standards and work ethic. The business has developed through organic growth and therefore, Craig would like to thank all customers for their support and recommendations. CTB Sweeping’s approach to work is paramount to maintaining our high customer satisfaction. We strive to ensure that all forms of communication from our customers are actioned within a maximum of 24 hours, usually 1-2 hours. If you book us for work, we will call to confirm your appointment the day before and then again one hour prior to arrival at your home. This ensures that you are free to continue with your day and are not waiting in for a tradesman unnecessarily. When we arrive at your home, we take our time to prepare the work area and work in a clean, efficient and methodical manner to ensure a thorough job is completed. Upon completion of works, we take pride to clean up after ourselves. We want you to use us again and join the rest of our happy customers, therefore, if you are not completely satisfied, you do not have to pay us. That’s how confident we are that you will be satisfied. All chimney sweeps at CTB Sweeping have completed all relevant training with the CSA (Chimney Sweep Academy) and follow their code of conduct. We also have £5m Public Liability Insurance.

*COVERAGE*

We are based in Kenninghall, South Norfolk, and generally service a 30 mile radius, but can travel further afield from time to time. To all my valued customers,

I have now made the hard decision to stop trading as a registered chimney sweep.

I posted in September explaining that I was scaling back my business due to entering full time employment.

I was then hoping to combine my day job with my sweeping business at the time & continue to effectively work two jobs, in order to continue to service all of my existing customers, such as you.

However, now I have trialed this, it’s not possible. It simply puts too much pressure on my employed work and family life.

I just want to give you all a heads up, and adequate time to find another sweep to service your chimney this year. Please spread the word that I have now stopped trading as a chimney sweep.

I am very sorry but I hope you all understand my reasoning.

I will be deleting my Facebook business page in the next couple of weeks once you have all had chance to read this post.

To all of my valued customers,

Sorry, I haven’t posted anything in a while.

For those of you that I’ve swept since 2019, this will come as no surprise.

In 2019 due to significant changes in personal circumstances, I had no alternative but to seek the stability of full time employment, therefore since then I’ve been heavily scaling back my self employed sweeping business. In order to prioritise my day job.

I still am a registered chimney sweep and I can issue certificates for household insurance purposes however, I now only sweep at weekends.

I am very sorry but I am no longer available by phone (this decision was made for natural dilution of my business) I’m very sorry for all those affected and if you have recently tried to contact me via phone either calling/text message.

I am only contactable by email or Facebook messenger nowadays, so that I can reply out of hours and manage my day job/sweeping.

If I have swept your chimney before, then I will endeavour to continue to offer my services, however I am no longer looking for new clients. I have significantly reduced my advertising. I am truly grateful for everyone’s recommendations up til now, however I have hit my max client base, so would appreciate no further recommendations.

To add to this: to all those that I normally sweep in November. I am currently expecting another baby this November, therefore I will have very limited availability in November/early December (whenever my baby decides to arrive). I would encourage all of you to seek alternative sweeping arrangements this year now to avoid disruption to your sweeping schedule & void on your household insurance. If I normally come to you during these times.

If you have a bird guard fitted and up until now I’ve swept your chimney in September through to March, please can I request that moving forward you contact me in April to August?

Those without bird guards should remain on pre-use sweeping schedule.
