Biscuit beetles, also known as stored products beetles, are tiny beetles that can invade your cupboards, snack supplies or even your dry pet food.

Very similar in appearance and closely related to the Common Furniture Beetle (Woodworm), these insects can easily be confused and misidentified.

Keep an eye out for these telltale signs.

Tiny Holes in Packaging
Look for tiny holes in food packaging, especially in items like flour, cereals, and other stored goods.

Sometimes, you may actually see the beetles themselves. They are small, reddish-brown insects with a distinctive appearance, and if you spot them, it's a clear indication of an infestation.

Prevention tips:

Store dry goods in airtight containers.
Regularly clean and organise your cupboards.
Check expiration dates and discard expired items.
