Another week over in sweep world, steady at the moment before the winter rush, Chris returned from his holiday, as my last job was cancelled this afternoon due to being on holiday Mrs Sweep took the opportunity to get me to sweep our own stove ready for winter, and if I make any mess on the new carpet I’m sleeping in the shed!!!

Week over, many thanks for all the birthday wishes much appreciate, I live a crazy fast life as most of you know so as it was my birthday I decided to go for my birthday meal in my favourite restaurant in Lanzarote for 4 nights 😂😂😂
Thanks go to Chris for his continued hard work while I was away, today we closed so we could all pay our respects to Chris father in law who sadly passed a true gentleman of far cotton
Chris takes next off to enjoy the school holiday with his family unfortunately or fortunately which ever way you look at it his wife has got to work!!!!

The photo that launched a whole new career. Nine years ago Paul started a business as we couldn’t get a chimney sweep. Today he turns 60 (yes, I know he doesn’t look it) and has a business that is consistently rated in the top three in the county. Another week over!!! A strange week with me off for a couple of days bowling in Devon and isle of white, Chris has been out sweeping his holiday coming up soon, I’ve been out this morning to sweep chimneys been a while since I did a Saturday shift!!!

End of another busy week rather warm today
Chris is out sweeping while I took my brother along to do some roof work, re flaunched the top of a crumbling chimney, fitted 10 cowls. Swept this beautiful open fire, then a mercy mission to rescue a pigeon stuck behind a gas fire
We’re all taking the bank holiday weekend off so I’m sure there will be a 🍻involved

First of the most adorable 8week old puppy who could of fitted in my pocket
The. We visited a customer who had a blockage in there AGA cooker flue after the cowl had blown off in the wind for me to find on the end of my rods a dead jackdaw, cooker working again
Finally an emergency call to rescue Stanley the starling stuck in an unused chimney flue!!!

Another busy week over still no signs of slowing down with our lovely customers now cleaning their stoves and fires now we have hopefully come to the end of burning season ☀️☀️☀️
I’m taking next week off as I have an appointment with a paint brush at sooty towers!!! Normally that would mean I’m jumping on a plane to catch some ☀️☀️☀️ but unfortunately not next week, Mrs sweep will be about in the office sometime to answer any enquiries while Chris will be out sweeping
