Iron Away - 'Your very own Ironing Fairy' Alison's Ironing Services - We take the Steam! Professional & Affordable. Complete Ironing Service with free collection / delivery within a 10 mile radius.

We collect from home or work place in Northampton, Wellingborough and surrounding villages. All ironed in a pet/smoke free environment. Garments are hung or folded (as required) and covered in polythene. Hangers are provided and starching is also available. All garments are weighed on collection and then an invoice is sent by email confirming delivery day/time. As a rough guide 4-5 shirts = 1kg.

Due to continued growth and expansion, I am looking for a new member to join the team. Predominantly looking for an Ironing Fairy on a part time basis working from home, someone that would also be able to cover holidays by driving the van to do collections and deliveries. This could quite easily lead to full time hours. You don’t need a special license just a clean one. Ideally within a mile or two of NN35AN.

Van driver required for collections / deliveries. Initially 8-12 hours per week hopefully leading to increased hours. This involves driving on a Monday, Wednesday & Thursday morning (Hopefully soon leading to some afternoon/evenings). Ideally you will be located in the NN3 area, flexible, reliable, conscientious, non smoker with a clean driving licence and transport to & from Ecton Brook to collect van. Must be aged 25-70 (purely due to Insurance restrictions).

‼️UPDATE‼️
After putting safety measures in place, for ourselves & our customers, we are now fully OPEN 😃

We are currently running to a smaller capacity & will only be collecting on a Monday with local deliveries on a Wednesday and further afield on a Thursday.

Once more people are back to work & we get back up to full capacity we will go back to 5 days a week.

It is with great sadness that in light of Boris Johnson’s announcement this evening I am suspending all ironing collections with immediate effect until further notice. I have a duty of care to protect my colleagues, family, friends and myself & believe that morally this is the right thing to do.
Any ironing that we are currently processing will be returned this week.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my customers for their continued support of a small business.
