I don't know about everyone else but our house is STRUGGLING with hay fever again this year. We have compiled some handy tips for keeping pollen at bay inside your home -
🌿 Try to leave pollen at the door, remove your shoes, jacket and bag as soon as you walk in and leave it close to your door. Try and change into fresh clothes and have a rinse off in a cool shower if you have time.
🏵️ Try to leave your windows closed, lower blinds or close curtains to keep your rooms cool and if you really need to open windows, try to do so in the evenings when the pollen count is lower.
🌿Clean your home regularly (or call us to help). Pollen can settle anywhere so it is important to give your home a regular clean. Hoover and mop on a regular basis and try damp dusting to prevent dust transferring from one place to another.
🏵️ Change your bed sheets often, If pollen is stuck to your hair and skin, it's easy for it to build up on your bed linen. During the summer months, it could be a good idea to change your bedding more frequently — especially if you wake up sniffing and sneezing.
🌿Dry your washing inside. I know its tempting to get it out on the line when the dry days are finally here but drying washing outside when pollen count is high it can contaminate your freshly washed clothes and linen.
