When your cleaner is away – annual leave, personal reasons, or illness
Annual Leave
Your cleaner will let you know as soon as any approved holiday dates are confirmed.
Where possible, we will try to reschedule your clean.
If another cleaner is available to cover, I would be in touch to let you know, though this isn’t always possible, we do try our best.
Personal Reasons / Illness
If your cleaner can’t make it due to illness or personal reasons, they will contact you as soon as possible.
They may offer to reschedule your appointment, depending on availability.
If another cleaner is available to complete your appointment, I would be in touch to arrange this.
Why we do it this way
First and foremost, this system helps ensure that no clients are missed and that any changes are communicated quickly.
Secondly, on many days, I am out completing client appointments, sometimes as early as 6.30am. During these times, I don’t use my phone while with clients, and some areas have limited or no signal. Allowing cleaners to contact clients directly helps ensure that you’re informed of any changes as early as possible.
And lastly, rescheduling can take time. It’s usually much quicker and easier for cleaners and clients to find a new slot that works for both of you when you’re speaking directly, instead of going through a third person.
This policy has been part of Fresh Start from the very beginning, not for convenience, but because it reduces the impact absences have on our clients and keeps things running smoothly.
