Our manager, Joe, is here once again to tell you what's available this week in the Community Store. One of our foodbank volunteers today said she enjoyed watching Joe's weekly videos as she felt like she was watching the shopping channel 😂😂

With that said, we are open tomorrow afternoon for anyone to come and shop. There is no referral needed, although it would be great if you could bring your own bags. Payment of £5 can be made in card or cash (cash is preferred).

If you're able to donate anything to us at the moment, we'd be grateful for donations of any of the following things.

We know things are tough for lots of people at the moment, but any and all donations make a huge difference to our work in supporting residents across the Teignbridge District.

We have a number of collection points across Newton Abbot or you can drop them off directly to us at our shop in Buckland.

We were delighted to welcome Martin Wrigley, MP for Newton Abbot to the Teign Community Store last week and are very grateful for his continued support of our work.

I was delighted to be invited to pay another visit to THAT Foodbank. This time I went to see their new Teign Community Store, which is open every Thursday, selling surplus food from elsewhere at a good discount.

I really support the work of local foodbanks, having visited both THAT and HITS locally. It is both humbling to see how determined they are to make a difference to so many lives, and saddening that they need to exist in this day and age.

We're very grateful to the residents of Wolborough Court Care Home and their families for their incredibly generous donation that was picked up by our co-chair Rob this morning.

All of the donations will go towards supporting local residents in need and help us to continue our vital work. We hope to continue working with the Care Home in the future.

Although food is our main outlet, we do like to provide other essentials such as toiletries, cleaning products and toilet roll. If you're able to donate a packet of toilet roll (or two), please drop them off at our donation points or bring them to us directly.
