As it is the time of the year where families are visiting and your panicing about the mouse or rat I thought I would give the islands community a bit of advice regarding Pest Control companies.
1 Not all pest control companies are legit!
2 Not all pest controllers are qualified!
3 Not all pest control businesses are insured!
4 Not all pest control companies care about you!
5 Not all pest control companies care about wildlife.
6 Not all pest control companies adhere to strict guidelines set by the British Pest Control Association.
7 Not all pest controllers train regularly to keep up their standards.
Anyone can go to Mole, B&Q or online and buy poison and call themselves a pest control company.
To be a professional pest controller you have to hold a valid BPCA Level 2 or 3 which comes with a certificate number!
Please be aware and ASK what the number is!
Then you can contact the British Pest Control Association to see if you are about to employ a qualified person or a fake pestie.
