Hi Everyone!

Thanks to our wonderful clients, old and new, and our hardworking cleaners who have helped us build our little business up to where we are now... we are very excited to announce that we are looking for a new member of staff to bring into the Myles Family!

We are looking to take on one new staff member, on an employed basis as a domestic housekeeper/cleaner. The hours can range between 25 to 37.5 hours per week, depending on what the successful applicant would want - as to us, finding the right person is the most important thing - we can mould the role around you!

The role will have an official start date of May, with potential for the successful applicant to pick up some extra work on a self employed basis in the interim, if they wish☺️

Post-Pancake Day Cleaning🥞

Pancake Day is a day of joy and indulgence, leaving us with sweet memories and, more often than not, pans that have seen BATTER (excuse the pun😆😉) days!

We thought we would share some tips on how you can get your pans sparkling clean and batter-free🌍🫶

1. Let the Pan COOL❄️ - First things first, allow your pan to cool down. This is essential to prevent any thermal shock to your cookware when you clean it, preserving its life and quality.

2. Soak in Warm, Soapy Water🧼 - Fill your sink with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Submerge your pan for about 20 minutes. This step loosens up any stuck-on batter and makes the cleaning less of a battle!

3. Use a Soft Brush or Sponge🧽 - After soaking, use a soft brush or sponge to gently scrub away the residue.

4. Use Baking Soda for Stubborn Spots🧂 - For those particularly stubborn spots, sprinkle baking soda on the pan's surface. Then, create a paste with water and gently scrub. Baking soda is a natural, non-toxic abrasive that helps lift away the most persistent pancake remnants without damaging your pans (or the planet).

5. Rinse and Dry💧🧻 - Rinse your pan with warm water and dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent water spots. Our recommendation? Opt for a cloth made from sustainable materials, such as organic cotton or bamboo fibers.

✨️BONUS TIP✨️ - If you're pan is cast iron, don’t forget to 'season' your pan after cleaning. A light coating of vegetable oil and a brief heat-up on the stove will help maintain its non-stick surface and avoid rust, ensuring your cookware remains in top condition for your next culinary adventure.
