We're always looking for practical ways to reduce waste and improve the way we work.

That's why we've introduced a new uniform recycling initiative across Edwards Commercial Cleaning ♻️

Rather than sending worn or damaged uniforms to landfill, they'll now be recycled and given a second life.

It's another step forward on our sustainability journey and one that's only possible thanks to the support of our fantastic team.

Recently, we had the opportunity to help out at Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter 🐶🐱

Giving back to our local community is important to us, so it was fantastic to support a charity that works tirelessly to care for vulnerable animals across the North East.

spent the day carrying out a deep clean to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for all the incredible volunteers who work there.

A huge thank you to our team for their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the day.

Plastic Free July is a great reminder that small changes can make a big difference 🌍

Over the past few years, we've worked hard to reduce unnecessary plastic across our business. By moving away from single-use bottles and introducing 5-litre concentrate formats, alongside direct-to-site supplier deliveries, we've significantly reduced plastic waste and unnecessary packaging.

These aren't headline-grabbing changes.

They're practical improvements that help us operate more responsibly every single day.

And they add up.

Our latest Carbon Report shows we've achieved a 15.2% reduction in gross carbon emissions compared to last year, while total waste has continued to fall as part of our ongoing plastics reduction programme.

Plastic Free July might only last a month. But for us, making better choices is something we strive for every day.

Recently, some of our Yorkshire team visited our new office at The Junction Horbury to complete their first aid training.

Investing in our people has always been at the heart of Edwards Commercial Cleaning and it's fantastic to see the Yorkshire office already playing such an important part in this.

We're incredibly proud to announce that Edwards Commercial Cleaning has achieved a 15.2% reduction in gross carbon emissions compared to last year 🌍

This is a significant milestone on our journey towards Net Zero by 2030.

From improving route efficiency and investing in our fleet to reducing waste and continually reviewing the way we work, sustainability isn't a separate initiative at Edwards. It's part of how we do business.

Most importantly, this achievement belongs to our team.

Every member of has played a part in helping us reduce our environmental impact while continuing to deliver the high-quality service our clients expect.

A huge thank you also goes to Tamma and the team at Imvelo Ltd for their continued guidance and support. Their expertise has challenged us, supported us and helped us improve year after year.

Following our recent North East Automotive Alliance Sustainability Award (SME), this latest milestone is another step forward in our commitment to doing the right thing.

We're proud of how far we've come but we're not stopping here.
