Another unwanted visitor! They are everywhere. Emergency call out on a Friday. It was hoped that the rat spotted by our client was merely passing through but the trail camera proved otherwise. PCB Pest Control are on the case and this pest will be dealt with so our client can enjoy their outdoor area in peace.

It’s as if the rats had been reading my last post on here. These two were on the move but unfortunately for them they couldn’t resist the Aldi version of Nutella and stopped for a quick snack.

Result? A double strike for the Blue Bar Rat Traps.

Its winter and the temperature is dropping. This means rats will be on the move. Here are the reasons you're likely to see more rat activity where you live or work.

Shelter: They seek out warm, dry places to escape the cold, making homes, commercial buildings, and other structures an attractive target.

Food scarcity: Natural food sources decline in winter, forcing rats to look for alternative food supplies, which can often be found inside homes or near unsecured bins.

Warmth: The warmth inside buildings provides a safe and comfortable environment for them to survive and even reproduce.

Entry points: Rats are adept at finding small gaps. They use sewers and drains as "highways" to travel and can enter homes through weaknesses in the drainage system or other small openings.

Blue bar rat trap strikes again. Two rats humanely dispatched and removed from our clients garden. They’d resisted various baits but crunchy peanut butter was just too much for them on this occasion and their taste buds got the better of them!

✅ No secondary victims such as birds of prey which can result from using poisons

Three Days Later......

We told you they weren't raisins!!

Looks like the shed from last week is still a hot spot.

Snap traps are a super humane, instant method of dispatch.

This rat wouldn't have felt a thing and as odd as this may sound - that means a lot to us here at PCB!!

Our camera allowed us to witness more than one 🐀 at this property and as such we have reloaded the traps and will return again in a few days to see if we can clear any more. Watch this space.......
