On my local dog walks this week, I have seen lots of my old colleagues to say hello to or have a quick gossip with. It has been a lovely treat. I am loving my extra dog walks and I am definitely hitting more than 10,000 steps each day. My six children, who I tutor, are making me incredibly proud with their attitude to learning and ability to improve week by week. E is managing to write more directly and hitting her Year 5 targets. We share our ideas first and that is helping E to say the sentences before we write them. J is learning and remembering his spellings. We play as many games as possible and J enjoys the competition...he usually wins! The other four children are progressing well with their maths. The examples of work are by M, who would happily work all day if I let her! She is building on her basic number skills and doing brilliantly in remembering what she has learned in previous weeks. The other examples are by H, who just needs a confidence boost as he is achieving all of the Year 6 targets. There is so much to remember, never mind understand in reasoning and problem solving questions.
