~Downsizing Diva’s rate is £50 for 90 minutes, with a free session every ten sessions purchased. Appointments are chosen when you book online (if you are unable to do this we

can do this over the phone). Any service can be mixed and matched.

~ There is no set package, they are all bespoke to meet your individual needs.

~ You may require sessions anything from two a day, or separate over a number of weeks, with a homework plan to work from during the interim, the choice is yours.

~ Before and after images can be shared by you via WhatsApp or other relevant online services.

~ Homework tasks agreed upon and completed will speed up your decluttering, tidying and other tasks needed.

~ You will be required to have the relevant products ready for each session. These will be sent to you as a list after our initial consultation.

Sciatica and managing lower back problems.

Some takeaway information FOR YOU from an event I attended online 2 years ago today, the information is still as relevant as ever.

First and foremost, this information is not to be used in replace of medical advice from a doctor. Please consult a doctor if you require a diagnosis of a back injury.

Things to think about !

1) Lower back ache sometimes comes on over a long time, especially after an injury, the back muscles may become deconditioned, due to fear of using them again post injury. This deconditioning makes things worse...

2) Our bodies are not designed to sit down for 8 -10 hours a day at a desk, nor are we designed to stand up for 8-10 hours a day.

3) A good rule of thumb is to get up every 20-30 minutes, from sitting down and move around even if its only for 10 seconds, try to stand up from a squatting perspective to activate your hips.

4) Stretching exercises for lower back ache might be BAD ADVICE for someone with lower back ache... Why? read on

5) If sitting down for too long OVER DAYS/MONTHS or YEARS is the problem this can lead to stretched tendons and ligaments, and too much looseness in the back, allowing the spine to move where it shouldn't, therefore stretching is only going to make things worse...

***) A better idea at helping the lower back to get stronger would be to aim at strengthening the hip stabilizing muscles, these are strong muscles, also engaging in using the hip muscles and strengthening the abdominal wall muscles, including the anterior obliques.

***) If the gluteal muscles do not fire correctly the lower back muscles start doing work that they are not meant to do by themselves, they should work in tandem with the hip stabilzing muscles.

***) The first 30 minutes of the day are the most at risk time to inccur a back injury, so avoid sitting down for the first 30 minutes of your day.

Good lower back helping matters, type exercises to consider - Go for a 5 minute walk if that's all you can do, try correct squatting and correct lunges.

Hip mobility and strength is a good thing so as to not use the back as a crane.
