When we meet clients for the first time, something we hear often is, 'please excuse the mess'
People sometimes assume that because we are cleaners, we have spotless homes, but we are just like any other working person, and we face the same challenges as everyone else.
The reality?
We spend all day making everyone else's homes shine. We scrub, polish, dust, mop, and chase those mysterious crumbs that somehow appear out of nowhere. We take so much pride in our work because we know how amazing it feels to walk into a clean home.
Then we get home...
We take one look around, see the washing pile, the fingerprints, the toys, the dishes, and think... "Well... tomorrow's another day!" 🤦♀️😂
The truth is, our hours are filled with the same things as everyone else. Work, family, appointments, shopping, and by the time we've spent the day giving 100% to our clients, there's often not much left in the tank for our own four walls.
And that's okay.
We're not just cleaners. We're mums, dads, partners, friends, carers and ordinary people trying to juggle life like everyone else.
So if you've ever apologised because your house isn't perfect, please don't. Trust us... we all have a "doom corner", a basket of washing that's been there for days, and that one room we quietly shut the door on when visitors come round. 😂
If this sounds familiar, remember, perfection isn't what matters. Being present for your family, and practising self care is. ❤️
