📣 A LITTLE BUSINESS UPDATE - PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ
We wanted to take a little bit of time to be completely honest about what’s been happening behind the scenes.
Firstly, we are sorry that we are currently running behind with some of our external work. 🪟
Due to injury and staffing issues, we’ve unfortunately fallen behind and are working hard to catch up. We know that when you’re expecting us, you want us there when you expect us - and we genuinely apologise for the delays.
We are a small, family-run business with a couple of members of staff, so when something unexpected happens, it has a much bigger impact on us than it would on a larger company.
We’re doing everything we can to get back on track and we’re hoping to be with you as soon as possible.
At the same time, we’ve had to take a really honest look at the business and make some big changes going forward.
💷 OUR PRICING
For a number of years, we have tried to keep our prices as low as possible and if we’re honest, we’ve fallen behind with our pricing.
A lot of our focus has been on growing the internal side of the business and we simply haven’t kept our external pricing in line with the increasing costs of running the business.
Unfortunately, the current pricing is no longer financially viable or sustainable for us and we are now losing money on some of the work we carry out.
Because of this, minimum pricing will be introduced across our external services.
We know that nobody likes a price increase and this isn’t a decision we’ve made lightly. But in order for us to continue providing a reliable service and keep the business going, it’s something we now have to do.
🌧️ WORKING IN THE RAIN
There’s another change we also need to make.
For years, we have tried our very best to avoid cleaning windows in the rain because we know customers understandably want the best possible finish.
However… we live in Scotland! 😂🌧️
If we waited for perfect weather every time, we’d probably never get anything done!
Going forward, where weather conditions allow us to safely and effectively complete the work, we will need to work in light rain rather than automatically postponing jobs.
Obviously, if the weather is genuinely unsuitable or unsafe, we will still use our judgement and rearrange where necessary.
❤️ FINALLY… THANK YOU
We know this is a lot of information and we appreciate that changes aren’t always easy.
We just want to be transparent with you. We are a small family business, not a large company with a big team behind us and sometimes balancing work with family life can be challenging.
Our family commitments matter hugely to us, and our daughters’ interests and important moments will always come first.
We are incredibly grateful to every single customer who supports our little business, especially those who have stuck with us while we’ve been catching up.
We are working hard behind the scenes to get things back on track, make the business sustainable for the future and continue providing the service you know and trust.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. It genuinely means more to us than you know. ❤️
