Just realised that it almost a year since we added to our page, so here is an update and a few pictures of what we have been up to during the last twelve months.
The big project of the year has been the complete overhaul with a new electric action of the Peter Conacher 1910 organ in Pontypridd Museum. The pneumatic action had suffered from years of high temperatures and very low humidity levels and had reached the stage where it was beyond repair.
We have also cleaned and overhauled the Hunter & Webb c1860 instrument in St Peter Molesey and relaced the swell Oboe stop with a new splendid sounding Trumpet stop made and voiced by our good friends Kevin Rutterford and Michael Blighton.
The HN&B 1980 extension organ in St Anselm Tooting Bec has been cleaned and overhauled.
The Church of the Ascension Southam, a 1867 delightful chamber organ by Bryceson has been cleaned and overhauled ready for the next thirty years of church life.
We have also undertaken some smaller projects such as, Mumbles Baptist Church covering the organ to protect it during building work in the church.
Hertford College Oxford, re leather a failed bellows.
Palmers Green London, Two pneumatic drawstop machines re leathered with new valves.
St Mary Watford, on site repairs to failing leather work on the bellows.
Coychurch Crematorium Wales, repairs to a pipe chest suffering from shrinkage due to high temperatures and low humidity levels.
St Peter Camarthen. Repairs to the Great soundboard after water had leaked through the roof.
All this and of course we still spend a lot of time out on the road with the tuning and maintenance round.

Once again we look back on the last year and take this opportunity to wish all our customers, followers and friends a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. We started the year back in January with the cleaning and overhaul of the organ in St Andrew Totteridge followed quickly with work at Hertford College Oxford in February when the Swell Trumpet and Choir Clarinet were removed from the organ to be re voiced by our good friend Michael Blighton, a big improvement and for the first time in many years the tuning on these two stops is so much more reliable. May was busy with a new solid state piston action and the pedal Bourdon chest re leathed in St James Merton and some repairs to the under action in St Dunstan Bellingham, this had been damaged by constant overheating causing some splitting and shrinkage. The summer school holiday break found us cleaning and overhauling the organ in Streatham and Clapham High School and also a clean and overhaul of the chapel organ in St Padarns Institute Cardiff. Also in Wales we uncovered and treated some woodworm in Carmarthen Tabernacle chapel, the organ had been covered to protect it during building work in the church. Always sensible to cover over organs in this situation. The coupler and key action have been reset to make the organ a far more manageable instrument to play. A few weeks ago we removed the pedal Bourdon chest from the chapel organ in Monmouth School this will be re leathered over the Christmas break and returned before the start of the next school term. Having started the year with a Walker organ we finished the year yesterday with a visit to St Nicholas Grosmont to inspect and prepare a repot on the 1840's J W Walker barrel organ. A splendid little four ran organ with a barrel and also a key board. We look forward to getting to know it better in the coming years. Pictures of the years work to follow.

At the end of another year we take this opportunity to wish our customers, friends and followers a Very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.
After nearly two years the project to move the 1932 Walker organ from the old Dover Boys Grammar School to there new site finely completed. We had dismantled the organ in the old school to move it to the new building but lack of building materials constantly delayed us re starting work in the new school. But we got there in the end!
Spring time found us in All Saints Crondall to clean and overhaul the 1871 Bevington organ which had also been enlarged and moved by Mander in 1971.
In October we were off to St Marys RC Cathedral Gibraltar again, this time for two weeks to re leather the drawstop machines. We had a very pleasant apartment overlooking the harbour which we converted into our workshop and did the work there as the Cathedral had a busy schedule of services.
In between these projects we were kept busy with our tuning round which we are pleased to say has grown over the last few years.
In January 2023 we are pleased to say that we are cleaning and overhauling the Walker organ in St Andrew Totteridge. An organ close to my hart as I worked on it in the factory in Ruislip and was on the install team as an apprentice.
February sees us in Hertford College Oxford to do some work on Hunter reeds.

This week found us in South London moving a Peter Collins house organ from the owners downstairs music room to his new music room built in the roof space. All quite straight forward except it had to come completely apart to fit the narrow stairs and tight turns.
The picture was taken before completion but after it had been retuned to A440 ET.
