I wanted to take a moment to share a brief update on the business and how things are progressing.
This venture originally started when I invested in shoe-cleaning products and equipment for my own use. I was frustrated with how quickly my trainers would get dirty through everyday wear, nights out, and general use — and not knowing how to clean them properly often resulted in pairs being thrown away or left unused in the back of my wardrobe for years.
I began by cleaning my own shoes, then those of family members and friends. From there, I decided to open the service up to others, with the aim of helping people extend the life of their footwear and save money — especially given how expensive trainers have become. Many pairs now cost upwards of £200, and designer shoes can reach four figures.
Over the past couple of weeks, demand has been incredible. I’m currently averaging around 10 pairs per week. While that may not sound like a large number, balancing this alongside a full-time job and completing work in the evenings and at weekends has kept me very busy. I’m extremely grateful for the support and would like to thank everyone who has placed an order — I truly appreciate it and hope you’re happy with the service provided.
