Newly cleaned polyester velvet sofas.
All furniture has the ability to hold a great deal of dry dust and dirt.
First step is to thoroughly vacuum, followed by the application of a fabric pre-spray which is gently brushed in to breakdown and suspend all soils.
Then the fabric is thoroughly rinsed and instantly extracted, removing all the suspended soils.
Finally velvet needs to have the pile re-set using a velvet brush.

Just an update to last weeks re-opening post. As the infection rates in the north west are still high, I feel it is still not the right time for me to be entering occupied homes.
Apologies to Sue in Millom, John and Hazel in Whitehaven (for such late cancellations), Anita and Pat and everyone else who has contacted me this week.
All work next week, in unoccupied houses and businesses, will go ahead as planned.

Just a message regarding carpet, upholstery, floorcare and cleaning in the Covid-19 environment.

We are now allowed under government guidelines to enter your home, as long as we adhere to a strict protocol.

So as of June 1st, 2020, we will be recommencing business and I would like to take this opportunity to set out the new guidelines to our working practices:

• To enable us to carry out as thorough and safe a clean as possible, we will need your cooperation and understanding. Before we enter your property, we will need your assurance that neither yourself or any other household occupants have signs of the virus, have been diagnosed, or are self-isolating.
• We will not be able to carry out any work, where any member of the household is shielding or self-isolating.
• When arriving at your home and throughout the clean, we will need to maintain a safe distance from you (2m or 6 steps away is current Government advice), including when waiting for you to open the door.
• When entering the home, we will be using Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.), which includes a face mask (covering both nose and mouth), visor, gloves and overshoes.
• If possible, we would ask for you and any other occupants to stay in another room, away from the work area(s) whilst the work proceeds, and with permission ventilate the work area where appropriate, e.g. by opening a window.
• All items involved in the clean, will receive a post clean disinfection.
• As part of the cleaning process, we will conduct a ‘touch point’ disinfection procedure, before leaving the premises. This will include door handles, taps, furniture and any other household item we may have had hand contact with.
