🧼A signature detail & paint correction for this Mercedes GLA200d🧼

This Mercedes has seen plenty of maintenance cleaning over the years however had not seen a full detail top to bottom, bringing the car back to show room status.

Starting with a triple wash to see what I was working with revealed some swirling, scratches and scrapes that needed attention.

Second step was to decontaminate the full exterior inside all joins and ridges to remove tree sap, grime and general dirt, after this, all tar spots removed and the car fully clay barred to remove all contaminants sunk into the paint.

Once all prep work was done, a decision for a 2 stage paint correct was undertaken to bring the paint back to a deep smooth shine. Alongside a full trim restore.

Upon completion a Q² Mohs EVO coating applied to seal in the paint and a follow up of Q² Skin EVO topcoat applied to lock in and protect the paint work.

Using fluoro modified polysilazanes to lock In the paint work will not only guarantee durability, chemical resistance, but a slick deep glossy and extremely hydrophobic layer that will be locked in for 2 years.

A second booking brought the Mercedes GLA back for the interior to be fully cleaned top to bottom removing dirt, debris and dust from every corner. Upon completion a interior ceramic spray applied to surfaces to prevent spill stains.

A blast over with a fragrant air sanitiser through the ventilation system…. job done.

Both vehicles went under the soap for a pre wash, hand wash and ceramic wash and a paint inspection before moving onto the finer details.

The McLaren warranted only a light interior detail with minimal soiling, a nonsense cleaner used, removed any imperfections inside.

The Range Rover had been used daily to and from farms, with dogs, meaning heavy soiling was attacked with pet hair removal, a full leather clean and condition, and carpets lathered in citrus clean and worked with a drill brush to extract dirt and soil.

All these conditions are on the way and without the correct level of protection, can cause scarring, build up and environmental damage to paintwork.

So how can I help?

Firstly, washing down your vehicle, removing any existing contamination.

Secondly, clay barring the vehicle to remove and fine, stubborn and bedded in contaminants giving complete access to the next step.

Thirdly, using a specially blended formula, the vehicle will have all existing polishes, sealants and waxes removed leaving complete exposure to the paint work.

Final 2 stage step, a ceramic Si-02 polymer Ceramic suspension gel is applied working into the paint to provide 12 months protection. Then, a nano spray is applied to fully bond and seal the ceramic and ensure no cracks will be formed over the 12 months by the contaminants, into the paint pores.

A heavily structured, close protection for your paint work. And complete peace of mind knowing all the harshness yet to come, is unable to affect your showroom finish.

Please note this treatment will take technicians up to 6 hours to complete.

WORKING COVID FRIENDLY

For all our clients looking to book with us, please read how we are working to maintain social distancing and prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

- Your designated Detailer will be in touch shortly before arrival to ensure the working area is ready. We would ask all customers to have ready the following;
> hose access for pressure washer
> electrical extension

On arrival your detailer will be wearing the correct PPE (face mask and disposable gloves to limit human contact)

Your detailer will leave an envelope on the door step containing a breakdown of the work they are undertaking- please read and sign so both parties acknowledge the work undertaken, and a small plastic bag- please place the car key in here and return envelope to your doorstep for the detailer.

On completion, you may inspect the vehicle, once happy please deposit cash into envelope, once received, your detailer will sterilise your key using antibacterial wipes and return it to you in a small plastic key bag.
