When you're working and you keep getting distracted by how pretty your nails are. Thank you Ebony 💚

So I think it's time to give this a little push. I've been working with some amazing ladies to launch a digital and in-person women's group. It's a judgement free, safe place for all women. If you'd like to know more you can message me, or the page, or email [email protected]
We're already planning to attend a Rebel Women's walk, to create an allotment, to visit the John Ryland Library Suffragette exhibition, a couple of theatre trips and fingers crossed have our first in person social meeting 😅

📢🎊 Brand new women’s group! 🎊📢 Welcome to The Gathering! We’re a progressive inclusive woman’s group that welcomes ALL women. Creating a safe community for women to come together & engage in shared interests. We currently meet digitally with in-person meetings coming very soon. Some of our chat groups are craft group, walking group, book club, photography, allotment/gardening, local history, music, hobbies & community activism. All members must agree to The Gatherings code of conduct & constitution, to find out more just send us a DM or email 😊

Putting a train loop on a wedding dress is a little cold on the knees this morning.

To whichever designer decided this wedding dress needed a blind hem. Thanks, thanks a lot.

It would be the one that needs to be turned around in a couple of hours because she's travelled. Not enough eye rolls for this today.

As wedding season 2025 gets to it's end my thoughts are moving to the cutting room renovations. Last years shop front reno was MASSIVE. This year it's more of a declutter and decorate. This is the inspo for the theme, which is coastal. Wait till you see the prints to go on the walls for this one 👏👏👏👏

How not to organise and store your patterns. I may be getting ready to decorate the cutting and fitting room

A little update; Since the start of the season (March) I have had 161 wedding dresses and 23 sets of bridemaids (could be 1 could be 6😳)
An average of 130 *hours* per month.
Which would be beyond amazing, If 60 of those weren't in August 🤦🏻‍♀️with 245 hours of work 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
Anyway just 3 left before I can go holiday 😘 From Saturday I will be on a sewing diet for two weeks. I'm taking my yarn and books to the beach. And more importantly spending 2 weeks with the family.
