A new company, not a new team.

Bee2B is a new name. The people behind it are anything but new to this.

I still run GJB Group, the commercial cleaning business I built up in Lancashire, and it’s going strong. Bee2B is a separate company with its own focus, its own base in Manchester, and its own team. What it shares is a standard I’ve spent years getting right, and I wouldn’t put my name near it if it slipped.

So when I say “new,” I don’t mean untested. I mean a fresh company built by people who already know what good looks like, and know exactly where most providers fall short of it.

New name, proven people. That’s the honest version, and it’s the part that should make giving us a look feel like a small step, not a gamble.

Your team notices more than they say

People rarely comment on a clean office. They comment on a dirty one, and usually to each other rather than to you.

The sticky kitchen surfaces. The washroom out of towels again. The desks that clearly weren’t touched last night. None of it gets raised with you, but all of it registers, and it shapes how people feel about the place they work.

Bee2B keeps the standard consistent, so the office quietly backs up everything you say about how you treat your staff. Not a deep clean once a quarter that dazzles for a week, but the daily reliability nobody has to think about.

What drives you mad about a cleaning company is rarely the cleaning. It’s the runaround when something goes wrong.

The call centre. The ticket number. Explaining the same problem to three different people before anyone lifts a finger. By the time it’s sorted, you’ve spent more energy chasing than the job was ever worth.

I’d put money on this. You’ve been meaning to do something about the cleaning contract for about six months.

It never quite becomes this week’s job. The current lot are mediocre rather than terrible, switching feels like effort, so it drifts. Another missed clean, another awkward comment from someone senior, and it’s still sitting on the someday list.

That inertia is completely normal, and it’s why people put up with providers they’ve half given up on. Staying feels easier than changing, right up until it doesn’t.

The person you ring has held a mop

If you missed it, I’ve recently partnered in a new Manchester cleaning company called Bee2B.

Here’s one of the reasons I did. You get a named account manager, which plenty of companies offer. The difference is that ours came up through the work. They’ve cleaned offices, taken the 7am call about a flooded washroom, and learned the job from the floor up.

So when you ring them with a problem, they don’t just log it and pass it on. They get it straight away, because they’ve stood exactly where you’re standing.

I’ve met a lot of account managers who’ve never held a mop. You can always tell. Give me someone with the context over someone with a clipboard every time, and that’s who I wanted running your contract.

You can tell a good operator in the first meeting.

After years building GJB Group, I can tell a capable cleaning company from a chancer in about ten minutes.

The good ones ask about your building before they quote. They don’t promise you the earth. They tell you what they’ll do and how they’ll handle it when something goes wrong, because they know something always does eventually.

That’s the instinct Bee2B is built on. It’s the new company I’ve partnered in, running alongside GJB rather than in place of it, and it works the same way. We won’t sit you through a 45-minute pitch or bury you in glossy promises. We’ll tell you straight how we’d run your contract.

The cleaning company you get to forget about
Here’s what a good cleaning company really sells you, and it took me years running GJB Group to say it this plainly. It sells you the absence of problems.

You’re not buying clean floors. You’re buying a Monday where nobody moans about the washrooms. A week where you don’t chase a soul. A contract you get to forget about, because it simply runs.

That’s the idea I’ve carried into Bee2B, the new company I’ve partnered in alongside GJB. Not a company you notice, but one you stop having to think about. Every reason you’d normally pick up the phone, dealt with before it ever reaches you.

The best sign we’re doing the job is that nobody in your building mentions the cleaning at all. It’s a strange thing to build a business on. After all these years, I’m convinced it’s the only thing worth building it on.

I saw a gap. So I did something about it.

I’ve spent years running GJB Group, and the same complaint comes up wherever I go. People don’t hate their cleaning company because the cleaning’s bad. They hate it because dealing with them is hard work.

Chasing missed cleans. Account managers who’ve never touched a mop. Ringing a call centre to report a problem in your own building. It’s a market full of companies that took a simple thing and made it complicated.

That gap is why I’ve partnered in Bee2B Cleaning, launching now out of Manchester. To be clear, GJB carries on exactly as it is and is doing well. Bee2B is something I’ve added, not a move away. Commercial cleaning and FM built to do the straightforward things properly, for offices, schools, healthcare, and industrial sites across the UK.

I’ll get into the detail over the coming weeks. Today it’s enough to say the gap was real, and Bee2B is what I decided to do about it.
