We are a Manchester-based complete commercial cleaning company. Our philosophy is based on being professional, affordable and dedicated. And why should they be?

A lot of our rivals have poorly paid, badly trained staff that aren’t interested in providing a decent service. They have no incentive to do so. Cleaning Ventures takes a different approach. We train all our staff, pay them a higher than average wage and offer bonuses to all those that meet their targets. The difference this makes is easy to see: bathrooms sparkle, kitchens shine and reception areas always give the right impression. As well as high-quality staff we also invest in high-quality products and equipment. It’s no use having good people if what they use is second-rate. This all sounds great but it also sounds expensive? Not in the least. Admittedly, there are companies that charge less than we do. However, in our opinion they charge less because they deliver less. We know we deliver an excellent service at a fair price. If you’re not happy with the cleaning company you use now it’s a good job you’ve found us. This time last year, we had a call that had nothing to do with a building site.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust needed a footpath clearing at North Manchester General Hospital.

Wet leaves had built up into a thick, slippery layer, and people using that path every day included patients, visitors, staff, and wheelchair users. On a hospital site, thats a real risk, not just a tidy-up job.

Most of you will know us for after-builders cleans and fit-out handovers. We also do a lot of maintenance work that people don't always think to ask us about, like jet washing, gutters, canopies, cladding, chewing gum removal, high-level cleaning.

The leaves are already starting to come down and if you look after a site with ths, car parks or entrances that turn into an ice rink every autumn, contact us before it becomes a health and safety hazard.

When we started Cleaning Ventures Ltd over 13 years ago, we made a decision that most people in this industry told us was wrong.

It was to pay our team properly.

Cleaning is one of the lowest paid jobs going. So people don't stay, nobody gets trained, the work is average, the client gets fed up, and the contract goes to whoever's cheapest next.

We didn't want to run that kind of business.

We pay above the going rate and invest in our team. Does it cost more? A bit. But people who've been doing this for years work faster, spot things and don't need chasing.

This is why our quotes still come in fair.

It's been a busy few weeks with Aldi UK.

Our team handed handed over new stores in Cardiff, Wigan, Manchester, and Telford, back-to-back.

This has meant a lot of 5am starts where our work involved high-level cleaning, floor poslishing and and jet washing the outside areas.

Great work to everyone on my team who's been up and down the country, and good luck to all the store teams with their openings.

Most people know us for builders cleans because thats a big part of what we do but when we first started we offered mainly office cleans.

So now, 13+ years on we've come a long way and the jobs we get asked about have widened a lot.

These days our maintenance work covers a fair bit of ground and every clean has its own approach. Render cant be treated like brick, and older buildings often need low-pressure steam rather than a jet wash and Terrazzo must be honed in progressive stages.

We priced up a store refresh builders clean today, and it’s the kind of quote we're used to.

The front of house is the obvious bit.

We'll deep clean the sales floor tiles and jet wash the frontage and walkways before handover. But most of the quote for this work is back of house.

The ceiling around the bakery, where heat and flour dust settle and stick. High level ducting and beams that havent been touched since the last refit.

And the back of house floor, which after a few weeks of trades and pallet trucks needs a proper deep clean, not a quick mop.

If you're running a refresh programme across a number of stores, we're happy to price the builders cleans together so you've got a fixed cost per site from the start.

Post-construction cleans are never just "give it a hoover and a wipe down."

Dust gets everywhere it shouldn't. Floors need the right treatment for the right material, not a one size fits all mop and bucket job. High level areas get missed because nobody wants to be the one up the ladder.

Someone asked last week if we "only do office cleans."

No we don't.

We do trolley cleans, chiller cleans, cladding, canopies, chewing gum removal, graffiti, gutters, render.

If it needs cleaning on a commercial site, chances are we've already done it somewhere in the UK.

Our line has always been the same: we don't cut corners, we clean them.
