Really looking forward to rosedale show on Saturday. It’s always been one of my favourite shows as I grew up locally but it’s the first time we have been with the trailer.
Please come say hello 😊

We have been flat out in the laundry over the last few weeks but as always we are trying to bring you plenty of bargains.
Everything can be posted just click postage at check out or select local collection if you want to pop in the shop to collect.
If you see a rug they you want and it’s unwashed give me a shout and we can arrange for it to be washed (at cost) before it is sent out to you.

3.5 years ago when I took over the laundry I was scared of the sewing machine. The last time I had used one was in my late teens (quite a long time ago 🤣) when I made some cushion covers that came to pieces in the first wash.

Now there isn’t much I can’t fix. I don’t always get it right and I often fall out with my old singer but I don’t think I do a bad job considering I’m completely self taught.

I know it’s not our usual kind of post but we all love a bargain, being a mum myself I know how expensive school holidays can be. Lots of other deals on this page too but flamingo land for less than £20 a person 🤩 can’t go wrong at that.

Thanks to all our lovely customers who have given us a boost today, feeling much more positive and looking forward to Rosedale Show. It will be our last show other than the heavy horse plough match in October.

Finally home after a long day at ryedale show.

As always a great show and well done to all the volunteers who put in hours of work to make it happen but for us I can’t say the same.
I have come home completely deflated. When I saw where our stand was yesterday I tried to remain positive but the truth is being placed in the row with car and machinery sales did us no favours at all. A harsh reality that if the people we are selling/advertising to can’t see us our visitors to the stand are pretty much none existent.
As with all traders I have put hours in on an evening to ensure we had a good range of stock, the time fuel etc to get there as well as the stand fees and increased insurance means that today we ran a loss.

Thankyou to the customers that did find us and I hope everyone had a great day.
